I can't say for sure, but most people I do know, LOVE music.
Plugged in their ears, or blaring through the radio, it is a constant source of happiness and pleasure, getting them through the day peacefully and without getting themselves killed (or in my case, it get's me through the day without killing other people).
Regardless, music is awesome.
And most people who listen to music, according to me, have a particular band/musician or singer who they adore tremendously. And I mean 'stalker-like adore'.
Put pictures of them on laptops, cell phones, have them on every favorite list you ever made (even those not related to music), pictured themselves being in the band/a groupie/roadie...
You get the hint?
I had a band like that once, not too long ago. They were called 'Paramore'.
Okay, that might be incorrect, seeing as they do not cease to exist, that would make that statement false.
But they kind of broke up, so in some sense I am right? Even though the rest of the 3 members are in tact and keeping the name?
Two founding members of the band Paramore left very recently, and I have not been able to pick up the pieces of my life and move on yet.
It's quite disturbing to have a band, whose music got you through the days and inspired you, to break up through lame public announcements and blog entries and videos, and there's nothing you can do.
I mean I guess it would be easier, if it was one person leaving the band or the band had just called it quits, and it ceased to exist, because things were just not working out anymore.
But when you have two brothers leave a band, they founded, it's kind of confusing.
Why would you leave something you believed in? Where does that leave me and other fans?
And then as though it isn't hard enough having your favorite band break up, you start to hear shitty announcements placed forward by them, blaming one and another.
The remaining three members (Vocalist Hayley, Bassist Jeremy and Guitarist Taylor) released a post on their official site, saying: '...A couple of months ago, Josh and Zac let us know they would be leaving the band after our show in Orlando last Sunday. None of us were really shocked. For the last year it hasn't seemed as if they wanted to be around anymore. We want Josh and Zac to do something that makes them happy and if that isn't here with us, then we support them finding happiness elsewhere...'
And then they add (which according to me, was a horrible idea): '...But we never for a second thought about leaving any of this behind. We really hope that you can be encouraged by the fact that the three of us who are still here are ready to take on another chapter of our journey together. You have always been what keeps us going so why would we stop now? We want to stick by you...'
Yeah, no one cares and no, that doesn't make me feel better.
So, after you read shit like that, I felt like how any angered, betrayed die-hard fan would feel. I slammed my head against the wall, jumped off the third floor and cried till my eyes fell out... And then I realized, 'Hey! At least they're still going to make sweet music... let's just hope it's as good'.
And then I stumbled upon one of the brothers (now, ex member's) blogger, in which he stupidly describes (clearly, point by point) why he and his brother left the band.
'...Months down the road things changed and this band became all about Hayley.'
'...All the while we still questioned whether or not we were an actual band, but Hayley continued to insist we were, despite our being ignored and pushed around by the label....'
'...(we would)hit the road with Hayley’s father as our tour manager/driver of a twelve-passenger van. Her dad would constantly threaten to “pull the plug” on the whole band if we complained about anything, suggesting that we were hired guns and Hayley was the real artist,...'
Seriously, enough with this shit.
It's hard enough to deal with a band you love breaking up, but then you have to listen to two sides rant about who is right and who is wrong, and what they want to do in life.
Don't forget the clichéd, classic ending line 'We are still hoping to work out a friendly way to leave our part of Paramore intact with the remaining band members, including Hayley.'
I'm tired, and I don't know who or what to believe.
If you are going to break up, do so quietly. You don't need to make it public that everything we fans ever believed in, was a fucking joke...
Honestly, Paramore... I'm angry and you've broken my heart.
And you know what, Ignorance is YOUR new best friend.

I can honestly say this is one of the first blog posts anywhere I have read out all the way, and can I say, I completely agree. Just shut up and play some music.
