Give Thanks

They say seconds before you die, you see your life flashing before you - Happy moments, sad moments, people you love the most.
So it's only scarier to imagine, what happens, seconds before you 'almost' 'could' die- Does life still flash in front of you? Do you see good things? Do you have a chance to think about everything you want to think about?

Today, a close group of friends of mine got into a serious car accident, where three were injured and the other two got out quite safely.
It was one of those things, where you know you aren't in the wrong... and you know you're driving safely ... but then you can see danger coming and there's nothing else you can say but 'Oh Fuck'.

That's what happened to them.

I don't really want to get into the politics of road rules and breaking of laws here in Dubai, cause I could get into trouble with that, but it wasn't their fault.
The driver saw the car so close in the mirror, in fact, so close that it was the only thing he could see ... and he realized something bad was going to happen.

They don't remember how many times the car overturned, but in 6 seconds they were out of the car and staring at mere rubbish, of what was left of it.

One of them told me, they could see everything happening around them, the second they got hit ... but then they just thought about surviving. They saw the glass shatter, sparks fly and the ground speed past them. But the pain wasn't alive, until they knew they were ...

I thank the Lord that they're okay ... because apparently the car ceases to exist right now.
One of them doesn't even want to talk about it ... they can't imagine what would have happened otherwise, if they weren't wearing their seat belts ...
What the call to their families would have been like?

This post doesn't really have an ending ... it doesn't have a conclusion but somehow it's point blank... or at least I think so.

I just thank God they're alive...
