Rock Your Ugly

I do not like the Tyra show. I honestly do not like Oprah or Dr. Phil either...but I really dislike Tyra Banks. Maybe it's because her show seems like an appeal to audiences around the world, who have known her only for her modeling ability and nothing else, an appeal that she can do much more than that.
Seems to me that Tyra always tries to convey that 'it's not about looking beautiful on the outside, but on the inside that matters'.
Then why the F does she have a modeling show which proves who is the prettiest and the fairest of them all? A little contradicting don't you think? I mean if we all are winners, and if we all ending up learning so much, then why is it a competition to begin with?

Okay regardless, there is something that I finally found right with her today that I want to share with all of you'll today.

Today her show was called 'Rock Your Ugly'. This was a show about embracing your physical features that you don't really like and that you think is downright ugly. So for example, if you think you're fat, then it's about embracing it, flaunting it in a proud way and loving yourself for who you are.
More than anything, I love the way she said, it's called 'Rocking your Ugly'.

Girls want to look like super models- thinner, prettier, different hair and facial features. But Tyra had made a valid point, 'There's always going to be a finer girl in school, in college, in the club, at work. There's always going to be someone who you think is prettier than you. But there is always going to be someone who that person is intimidated by, because there is someone out there prettier than them. It's a way of life. And that's why we need to learn to love ourselves for who we are and how we look ... cause it doesn't matter how anybody else looks or thinks.'

Have I said I really dislike Tyra? She's so .... BLAH and out there with her emotions.
But I have to hand it to her for today... she really REALLY said something that finally made sense.
