So there's this friend of mine, who just got back from somewhere and everytime I make an attempt to chat to her online, she either says shes busy, tired, gotten home late or that we'll talk soon and meet up.
So, annoyed I will be and I chat to her friend and ask him, what could probably be the reason to her 'weird' actions?
And he says, 'idk, maybe shes going through stuff, idk, give her some time'.
Here's a heads up for all those people who occassionally or seldom, go through 'SHIT' in their life..say, 'I'VE GOT STUFF GOING ON, TTYL'.
Does that hurt? It's brief, precise...too abrupt and maybe a tad bit rude, BUT HEY, it works!
It isn't dramatic like, 'Oh, I'll talk to you soon just give me some time...I need some time to clear my head, things aren't looking up right now...' you get it, don't you?
Whatever happened to plain ol' honesty?
And like the other, Maw (a good friend of mine) and I were chatting about a mutual friend of mine (that I'm not on that good terms with for a while now ... but I mean let's see how tomorrow goes), and I go like, 'If this person doesn't want to talk to me anymore, then why doesn't she tell me to my face?' and Maw goes like, 'How does she do that?? How does she say HEY I DON'T WANT TO TALK TO YOU ANYMORE?'
And I'm like, she says it exactly how you just did!
Seriously, isn't it less painful, more direct to just come out and say the dam truth? It's cowardly otherwise.
Lastly, Kwen, one of my childhood/best friends, tells me, 'Be honest to people Stacey, but there's a way of being honest.'
No offence to you Kwenie, BUT WTF DOES THAT EVEN MEAN?
Here's the way it goes in my books, there's one way and only one way of telling the truth - the truth that will bite you in the ass, kick you and sting you forever if it has to, but the impact will always be the same regardless of how you tell it as long as your telling THE ENTIRE TRUTH.
Pfft. Girls :p
