Bollywood

Hey you'll!

Well, bollywood films are getting super interesting nowadays aren't they? I mean they're trying to zoom away from the typical, stereotypical mindsets actually and make films without the lame hindi song playing in the background. Yes, indian directors have come a long way from rainy scenes with a chunky heroine running towards a buff hero and her saree (let's not forget her white saree) drenched wet...

Now it's about political issues like human trafficking, killing of female babies (I can't spell that word with 'f'), choosing the right president, trade and financial laws and crises and it's also about diseases and disorders and disabilities....
Its things the public should take notice of and start making a difference and thank gosh, no more lame hindi songs amidst them all...

But the thing I'm worried about is...are indian directors doing this a bit too much? I mean, dont get me wrong I love the shift from olden day cinema to modernized, graphical uniqueness including awesome stories...but what happens when they run out of original ideas?
Taare Zameen Par and Ghajini were both awesome films, but how many times can you make something as good as the former? And the latter was taken off 'Momentum'.

Well, in conclusion, I'm just a little scared for indian movies. I don't get scared for Hollywood-ers, because they're good at what they do. And very rarely do they feel obligated to copy from indian directors, even though its the other way around, very often.
What happens when they run out of ideas and they're unable to copy from their fellow film makers? Are we going to go back to old senseless, Raja Hindustani stuff?

Eeks.

Ps- Aamir Khan always picks the best, most original movies.

That word..

foeticide.

Or you could say female infanticide for babies

P.S. - 'Panic Room' is running on MBC 2. I can't figure out if Jodie Foster's son/daughter is a "son" or a "daughter"!

Mmuah. Happy 6th of Feb!

I agree.
I saw Ghajini and thought it was a lame rip off when the opening scenes showed, but it's actually pretty impressive.
