Every year, the Sheraton Deira, does their little bit for society, by helping 'Special Needs Families' or better known as the SNF organisation, throw a charity event, where all funds raised are donated, to those families, with children who have special needs.
There are little stalls, which sell shoes, badges, clothes etc and grown up games such as housey...the coolest thing, was the on the spot parlour, where a saloon offered to set up in the hall and pamper the ladies at the event.
The coolest thing, though, is that Richie and I particpated, in the Fashion Show, which was thrown by Manipal University. I'm not sure about good pictures right now, but all I can tell you is that the experience was exhilerating to say the least.
The best part of being backstage-apart from all the drama and rush, was seeing the calm and punctual kids with special needs, all dressed up and waiting for us to finish our little fashion riot. They were dressed up in pirate outfits, designed by the first year students.
The best part of the show? All the models and children danced on stage, for the finale and then we did a little catwalk with them to the head ramp.
Was fabulous!!
