A Culture Slut is defined as a person who is fake because he follows any kind of culture, and changes his opinions not because he believes in it, but because it helps him get along with others.
Basically a desperate act of fitting in, without knowing what your really doing.
A famous culture that binds most culture sluts today...is music.
Music can be anything you listen to, if you believe it is.
Remember the time, rock music blared from your stero and Dad told you to SHUT THE HELL UP? Remember Mom telling you to TURN OFF THE NOISE ?
Not music to them, but definately music to you.... <3
Who is a culture slut? Someone who fakes they like something so that they fit in, I believe. Someone who tries to act cool...
How many times have you looked at someone and said, 'OMG! WHY IS HE TRYING SO HARD TO FIT IN? HE'S SO NOT COOL' Well, okay, in better words than that...
But ever wondered, what cool is? Something YOU defined? Since when does YOUR opinion matter so much, that you get to based someone on your judgement?
Music...in the same way..
Someone told me... (as he always tells everybody),
'Your a culture slut. The music you listen to is shit. I know much more as opposed to you.'
Here's the thing sweetheart.
What I think is music, may not be music to your ears...but I also think 'most death metal IS NOISE..Well, I dont hate it, but it's not my fav genre, man! But I dont give you my dam opinion because it doesnt matter...
Oh yeah...and neither does yours.'

'course, i agree that death metal (or any kind of metal, for that matter) is nothing but NOISE .. but then, a lotta ppl feel that classical music is nothing but lullabies! lol :-P
I'd agree with Anand completely.. Classical music is perceived to be lullabies... but then so was jazz till You (mrs pinto) came for the jazz fest and saw it was fun =) ..
Music means different things to different people. To death metal lovers, it would be the next best thing to icecream! ( or whatever else they loved)
I love this blog, I love the whole Culture slut perspective - very unique.. very interesting. but in my opinion, just telling you .. you dont have to bother (;P *scared of yelling blogs :P ) I think the biggest culture slut we face is trying to be something we're not- Cocasian. Everyone's trying to copy the west, what they see on prime time t.v, bla bla..
Because, 'meh' 'psht'and other such urban dictionary words are Now in fashion - we are losing what was once known as English.
Apart from that, on many other levels people are being culture sluts. Sometimes it may be out of fear though.. you never know what one's reasons are for acting the way they do.
I'll always love english, jazz and classical music just as much as I love you
